Ikey, The Little Seashell
Sarah Walker Becton M.A.
Ikey is a young seashell who is compelled to see the
outside world, beyond the sand and beach. During little Ikey’s travels, he
has many scary experiences such as strange sounds, being hungry and sick,
and missing home and his family and friends. The story of Ikey is designed
to teach long vowel sounds for children by learning each character’s name,
as well as the importance of leaving nature in its place. Ikey, The Little
Seashell is the first in a series of children books.
